3/4 C. vegetable shortening
1 C. brown sugar
1/2 C. sugar
1 egg
1/4 C. water
1 tsp. vanilla
3 C. oats, uncooked
1 C. all purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Beat together all of the wet ingredients and slowly add the dry ingredients. Mix until combined. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes.
